These images are some of the first iterations of one potential affordable housing solution - the tiny home. For the past few months I’ve been working with a handful of other professionals (from varying backgrounds) throughout the Twin Cities to start a cooperative LLC wherein we construct sustainable tiny homes from reclaimed and scavenged materials. The intent of the organization would be to then sell or ideally donate these homes to local nonprofits working with the unhoused population, providing a dignified, simple solution for short or long term shelter. The business model is still very much under construction, but we’re excited about its potential. The images shown here were produced by yours truly using Revit. One prototype of the reclaimed tiny house has been constructed.
