serpentine study
This project involved an in-depth study of the 2012 Serpentine Pavilion, designed by Herzog & de Meuron and Ai Wei Wei. Working with a group of two other students, we analyzed the unique atmospheric quality of the pavilion created by its materiality and form. I replicated the pavilion digitally using Rhino, studying how the seemingly random shapes and pillars impact the atmosphere of this subterranean space. I was responsible for constructing the model as well as creating all of the diagrams and renderings shown here.
